1. Reply to this post, and I will pick five of your icons.
2. Make a post (including the meme info) and talk about the icons I chose.
3. Other people can then comment to you and make their own posts.
4. This will create a never-ending cycle of icon glee.

Fun times! I only have a measly fifteen icons, so between [livejournal.com profile] persephone33 and [livejournal.com profile] nbaeker there was a significant overlap. Here goes:

Carrie chose:

From Mystery Science Theater 3000, where humans and robots come together to make fun of awful, awful movies. This one's from the movie 'The Skydivers', a total dud. I don't get to use this icon too often because it's so dismissive and doesn't apply to very many situations, but I enjoy it too much to let it go.

Arrested Development is probably my favourite show ever. Tobias is auditioning for a commercial for a boutique fire sale, except going the absolute worst way about it. "Oh my god! We're having a fire! ...sale." The scene cracks me up every single time. I use this when I feel like wailing about some kind of horrible injustice that's been rained upon my person.

Nicole chose:

30 Rock! Probably my second favourite show ever. This line coming out of Alec Baldwin's mouth? Gold, Jerry. Gold.

I pretty much like every Pixar movie ever made, and Dory is just lovely. Back in the day I used to blog on Blogger.com as a way to keep in touch with my RL friends, and I was really taken with the LJ idea of using icons appropriate to the posts, so this was one of the first icons I snagged and I think the only one that I've kept in the transition to LJ. It's for when there are so many feelings that 'happy' just doesn't cut it.

They both chose:

More AD! I made this one. The screencap is actually from the 'taste the sad' scene, but you can see more of their faces here (particularly Michael's being weirded out). The Bluths make me happy.

I don't know who made this one; I saw someone using it in a comm I watch and knew I had to have it. It's just so, so pretty.

Hee. This was me trying my hand at making an animated icon, and Magilla Gorilla and Peter Potamus just happened to be perfect for the quote. It could have turned out much better, probably. The quote marks the precise moment I (and Willow) fell in love with Oz on Buffy. Because, who could seriously pull off an inane conversation between animal crackers while trying to pick up a girl? Oz, that's who.
