So, I'm gearing up to write some porn for an M/A AU I'm working on. Trouble is, I'm not very good at it, so here's where you come in, f-list! Rec me your favourite porny M/A fics, the dirtier and more detailed the better, so that I may learn from the very best.

Maybe I just don't read enough of it, because I always have such a hard time thinking of recs. I think my favorite M/A porn is pru's Paraphrase, because there's word porning and actual porning.

Well, here are the queens of porn in my saved list (all first wave BNFs of course, but probably BNFs because they write lots and lots of porn in their also-good-stories):

rageprufrock (probably the dirtiest porn of substance that I've read in the fandom)

astolat (not the most in-depth, blow by blow porn, but they fuck ALL THE TIME in her stories and I love that)

derryere (I think even her kisses are porny--the biggest problem is locating her stuff because of the way it's scattered around like a cum shot--in Accidental Memory alone, I think she progresses them through every sort of money shot from frottage to full on penetration, the porn just keeps going and going)

frantic_allonsy (who doesn't write the most explicit porn, but it's still wonderfully dirty and sometimes IS explicit--and usually buried in emotions which is hot, hot, hotter than fire)

I have different writers favorited for different reasons, but those are the OMG THAT WAS IMPOSSIBLY HOT writers.

YOU are favorited because your Arthur and Merlin or Colin and Bradley are so real and vivid and endearing, they just leap off the page. Do you have porn also? Yes. Do I take away from your stories, hot DAMN that was filthy!...umm, no--even though it's hot all on its own. It's just the porn is a nice dish in the overall feast of awesome you write. I adore your characterization most of all.

BUT JUST SO WE'RE CLEAR--I don't think you need any help with your porn, bb. :D

Oh, also, I fell in love with your banner. Drew me in like a fly to honey and is still one of the prettiest things in fandom, IMO.

agreed about pru and frantic, but would add leashy_babes in there and cherrybina.

specific fics? drastically redefining protocol (pru) has some amazing sex scenes as does defenders of the realm (lamardeuse) and accidental memory in case of death (derryere). crown of the summer court uses magic (astolat) more in the sex. oh and truth is a whisper (seperis) is melting hot.

And thank you of course for the author recs. Pru is definitely on my list to reread; when I had to write porn for the first time I kept going back to her stuff for pointers. Which was OH SO ARDUOUS, as you may imagine. I will fish around the other authors' writings too; have read all of them before of course, but it's been a while and I just can't remember WHICH of their things were porniest. Or most instructional. :)

Sometimes I think of making a new banner but then as I am thinking of changing it, I also end up staring at it for ten minutes, so that settles that!

Awesome, thank you! A couple of those I haven't read, so this is excellent. DRP and sequels were the ones that got me through writing my first bit of porn, so I am definitely revisiting those.

Ohhh, I don't even know what I'm looking for. Wordy, explicit, detailed things. I doubt I'd ever write anything very hardcore, but I'd like to read them, and then from there see what I'm personally comfortable with writing, so I guess pretty much anything will do; I'm good with most kinks. Maybe not tentacle-sex. But, you know. If it's not working for me, I can just click away.

I'm looking at writing emotional sex that possibly only one of them acknowledges as emotional, is fuelled by drinking, and probably needs to be hard, fast and a little playful. So I want to get a feel for good pacing narrative-wise, acceptable terms for things (cock or dick? the eternal question), and things they say when they're doing it.

Ooh, or hot arts would do, too; good to get actual visuals as well :)

do you have a way to read ebooks? if so, i'll send you some shorter ones with great smut. something about you (lamardeuse) and pingrid's h/d codpiece ripper which is smokin'. if you're willing to look at h/d (er, which i already implied with pingrid's) mirabella wrote some intense scenes. hp and the inconvenient condition has some that just about sizzle on the page. also, i would think that if you take a gander at cherrybina's journal, or hermette's and peruse some of their in journal fests you'd find some excellent short and filthy pieces.
