Does anyone watch Horrible Histories? It's a children's TV show about various events/practices in world history that airs on CBBC. I'd heard some good things about it, so watched the first ep of S3 today, and I found it really entertaining -- and educational. :) But the one sketch that really stuck with me was this song, for being unexpectedly sexy. OMG. (Self, wtf, it's a show for children under ten.)

And, of course, you didn't think I was going to leave you without more pimpage of Improv-a-ganza, did you? Today's sterling entry is the game Sentences, in which the audience writes whatever they want on scraps of paper, and the performers have to incorporate those sentences into their scene. Baaaaaaad asthma attack. I amost went to the ER last night. Had my brother on standbye and everything, and a bag half packed. Decided to double up on the Albuterol and that worked to get me through the night, but I'm going to call my pulmonologist today and see what can be done. He might admit me for 24 hours to get the breathing under control. Scary disease, this.

Two things:

1, That Horrible Histories programme looks amazing and I need to start watchong it. I'm surprised I haven't watched it before considering that I'd the majority of the books before I was 10 and that they sparked my love of history. I've heard good things about it but had always shrugged them off. How wrong I was!

2, I love your icon. I swear that dog is one of the greatest animated characters of all time. "I hid under the porch because I love you"- how can anyone not melt at that?

1. Books are enormously powerful that way, aren't they? :) I was surprised by how much I liked the show; a lot of the sketches are properly funny, and not at all dumbed down for the kiddies. If you do start watching, let me know what you think!

ahaha, I keep seeing the adverts for the show everywhere (I like the Aztecs dude!) but haven't watched any. It looks really fun :D

I'm sure it's the 'Hwuawhh'. There's something about ratty-haired men who 'Hwuawhh' huskily. It's like an abbreviated version of a Maori Hakka. Gets you in touch with all that primal ... snorting stuff.

Right, because you've got to balance it all out with a soupçon of visual kei, just to let people know there's a sensitive guy under all that primal snorting.
